Amanda Sironic, Director of Armadale Psychology, is a registered psychologist who works with adults and adolescents. She holds a Master's degree in clinical psychology, is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and is a registered provider with Medicare and private health insurers.
Amanda specialises in anxiety disorders, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem and assertiveness issues, emotional regulation and relationship difficulties. She uses a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy and Schema Therapy. Moreover, Amanda uses a psychodynamic framework that makes sense of individuals' concerns in light of experiences and relationships over time. She also utilises a systems approach that considers family dynamics, culture and the person's place in the wider community.
Amanda pursues academic interests and is a published researcher. Her doctoral research (PhD) with the University of Melbourne examines adaptive and maladaptive forms of perfectionism and how they affect adolescent mental health. Amanda has been invited to present on the topic of adolescent perfectionism at conferences and schools across Australia.
